I liked the part where he states they did not take a poll, the did not take a vote of the people ("will of the people"), they did not have slavish devotion to "interest group politics." As he states "The purpose of government, as the Declaration clearly states, is to secure liberty and not to implement that dubious, inconstant sentiment "the will of the people." Also he states, "What was right and true was not dependent upon popular opinion."

Yes. It certainly is anathema to those on the Left, like deb2012, jklugman, and masbury who constantly preach hate and suggest that government of and by "intellectuals" is preferable over the collective wisdom of individuals regarding their own lives and direction of communities and states. We are no longer dealing with intelligent people. We are dealing with hateful, intolerant bigots.
