In other words restitution! It's part of a spiritual awakening guaranteed in the 12th step. In conclusion I'd like to re-word kkcapricorn's comment if I may to say "As more people adhere to this philosophy the world will be nicer." Also "I love our world." are all nine words & this is a nine universal year for our planet(2007).

I had read sometime in the past that thoughts are mathematical expressions & as of recently I've been taking time to see if I could convert some well known expressions we use to mathematical equations. I've got get ready for school so I won't give details but use the key in my posting above & see if you concur with this brief example(Figure the # of each word).

Deb, I can attest to the fact that ammends are difficult to make and keep. In AA we say it's only an amends if it includes stopping the behavior. Otherwise it's an apology. An "I'm sorry" is always a good thing if it's sincere, but the only true amends one can make is to no longer do the action that caused the need for the "apology/amends" in the first place.

I am finally admitting that I had A LOT to do with the crumbing of my marriage. 10 long years later - better late than never??? I'm asking for your input regarding my "confession" - and whether or not to ask my former husband for amends. We email about once a year and are actually pretty decent to each other.

I have been "stuck" for the last decade, and would love to hear your opinions/suggestions regarding coming clean. I had an affair and basically flushed my marriage down the poop chute. It was 8:39 when you posted. 8 is a # of judgement & authority of weighing things & taking action & the 39 reduces to 12 & then 3 again the # of self-improvement & creative expression. In coming clean with your former spouse I would caution in revealing details that would cause further harm to the parties involved. Keep in mind the process of making amends is for your spiritual growth & it does not need to be acknowledged in order for you to be forgiven. You've been what I've termed spiritually constipated. We all make mistakes & not not owning up to them & doing what it takes to make it right is what really kills us. I'm absolutely sure that if you are willing to do what ever it takes to make this wrong right you've made this world a better place.
