Cigarette butt litter is the world’s greatest environmental litter problem. Yet I see no supporting "facts" for this statement, nor for any of the other "facts" listed. Maybe Al Gore provided these "facts."

These "facts" come to us from a website selling portable ashtrays. No marketing mythology could possibly be involved here, could it?

Let's see... Instead of "flicking" my cigs in random locations, it is instead suggested that I dispose of them "properly" by collecting them, then placing the bulk of them in the trash. But if everyone did that, it would mean that "5.2 trillion" cigarette butts would be buried in landfills along with all of the other toxic things that humans dispose...

Seems like it might be better to spread this toxicity around so that natural physics can break things down a little at a time, rather than burying it en masse where the toxic elements can concentrate in greater amounts in fewer locations. Oh wait, I forgot. If we bury it, we can't see it, so it's not a problem anymore. Right?

Come on people. Wise up. This is just more of the same garbage from the puny little humans with nothing better to do than complain about other humans, and if it weren't this or that, it would most assuredly be something else.
