There is more to it than that to.. Very so much more. But one of the main reasons to is that there is a chemical release in the brain as well, one that makes a man sleepy and a women wants to be close. But each and every person has a different chemical mock-up which means not always will they respond to it the same way.

Maybe women who enjoy sex have a healthier attitude to themselves and life, could be a good reason why the chemicals released during sex have a positive benefit.
I personally have found on a number of occasions problems come from low self esteem, the cause being repressed or held memories of childhood sexual trauma.
