Steve McCurry is well-known for his famous "Afghan Girl" photo which was on the June 1985 cover of National Geographic. McCurry is an American photojournalist for over 25 years, covering international and civic conflicts and war, photographing the people and their cultures. He has covered the Iran-Iraq war, Beirut, Cambodia, the Philippines, the Gulf War, Afghanistan, India, Tibet.
