<FONT size="2">据《南方都市报》报道，新规定对广州各机关的"文山会海"作出严格的限制，包括领导讲话稿要尽量缩短、书记市长公务活动的文字报道不超过1000字，等等。

<FONT size="2">广州市委市政府于9月4日发布了《关于进一步改进会议活动安排和精简文件的意见》。
</FONT></P><P>
<FONT size="2">意见也要求各地各部门一律不得在风景名胜区、度假区开会，不得组织与会人员"游山玩水"；市领导原则上不题词题字，各地各部门也不得邀请市领导为一般会议活动和商业性活动发贺信。

<FONT size="2">英文《中国日报》引述中山大学一名不愿透露姓名的教授表示，他质疑新规定的成效，他说如果落实执行规定，当局的效率将会改善，本地新闻报道也会更好，"不过，过去也推出过类似的规定，我看没有什么改变"。
