I discovered that myself after about a month of having my current vista computer, my method of solving the storage issue was to disable it and perform manual back ups to an external hdd instead, which actually suits me better, as now everything is backed up twice.

As rare as it may seem it really isn't all that uncommon to lose both your primary copy and the backup.
