zasel says: High Schools in South Africa have decided that being gay is not something that needs to be hidden or feared. They strive to have their teachers and students understand what homosexuality actually is and include information about it as part of lifestyles studies. The program is in a pilot stage and participation is up to each province. This is a great step forward and it would sure be nice if the high schools in the U.S. would take this as an example of how to handle this topic in a positive and non-judgmental manner. |
