An attack on books about horrific child abuse

As surely as there are badly written tell-all tales which feed the twisted desires of the inactive pedophile, there are just as surely well written tales of graphic truth which help heal the hurt and give courage to the hurting that they will someday be beyond their misery. How does one separate the two classes? Freedom is the price of freedom.

Whatever one might say about such things, I do know what sort of person has the most to lose about such cases becoming public knowledge - and the points in common becoming rather clear.

Authoritarian Parenting
Social Conservatism
Concern about appearances.
Religious justification for abuse
Parental obsession with the sexuality of the child.

These are three common threads I've noticed over many years of interest and involvement within the abuse survivor movement.
