Many Hispanics have achieved greatness by simply being great in their fields. Race had nothing to do with their greatness. In the case of nominating Sotomayor to the Supreme Court, race and gender have almost everything to do with her appointment.

I have no ill will towards Ms. Sotomayor, I just think it would have been in the country’s interest to appoint someone more deserving.

I thought this country is supposed to be "color blind." It appears your greatest attribute is race or skin color.

So the answer, I guess, is to only nominate white men for everything, as they lack both race and gender, huh?

You diminish Sotomayor with this argument. Her credentials are impeccable.

So how do you defend her comment "Hispanic women are better decision makers than white men"?
