I heard one source call it the worst "gun" mass murder. Thats probably why they can exclude the bombings.

Well, being the press skeptic I am, I think they are leaving out the 'gun' part so they don't have to address all the mass murders that were much more deadly than anything pulled off with a gun so they can push for more gun grabbing legislation. But maybe that is just me and they just truly don't remember events like 9/11 or the OKC bombing.
