Alas, this debate may ultimately prove futile for as Lewis stated in The Abolition of Man, one cannot prove the truth of the universal moral code because “its validity cannot be deduced. For those who do not perceive its rationality, even universal consent cannot prove it.”

I would add another question here: do we really need a moral code? isnt the free mind moral a-priori?

I'm a psychiatrist, and have observed that in our educational system that there is nothing integrated into that system that promotes and encourages just basic decency, honesty, and respect towards others whether it be students or faculty or our fellow citizens.

Of course early family life can contribute to problems, but the educational experience has the opportunity to do something about that.

Instead amongst the worst politics I have seen is in academia rather than cooperative endeavors to bring the best out in all.

I see all the wars that the USA has been involved in my life being a result of the so called educated, a well entrenched mediocrity or sub mediocrity attached with egregiou...
