Institutional archivists struggle to assure that digitized data will be readable even 25 years from now, let alone the hundreds of years a well preserved book might offer up its' secrets after. Anyone here remember Syquest drives? How many of you have one that still works, or could rescue data from the disk in the back of your drawer?
