The IRC believes that almost all of those deaths could have been prevented by basic health care. Nations that call themselves civilized should hang their heads in shame. All many of us can do is draw attention to these problems. Ultimately, it is the people who must demand from their leadership that poverty and despair be eliminated in our world. Lack of resources is no longer an issue, we know better. The money and the power needed to save all of us is in the hands of people incapable of feeling the range of human emotions the rest of us feel. They are limited to greed and selfishness, they only feel their own needs and wants. Power gives to them what love gives to the rest of us.
