                BioWare's <I>Mass Effect</I> has received plenty of praise and for good reason. This positively gorgeous sci-fi RPG has everything going for it; an engaging story, plenty of bizarre-looking and shady characters, phenomenal visuals, large scale environments, and plenty of customization. Plus, even though we were treated to a sliver of Mass Effect, it's already one of the most cinematic videogames in the industry's history.  In fact, if everything comes together, the mighty Square Enix may learn a thing or two about blending film with interactive gaming. There's of course the possibility that BioWare has taken on a project too big for its britches, and with that being said, <I>Mass Effect</I> could turn out to be a total bore, but that doesn't seem likely, providing its developers are cradling it like an innocent newborn, which is what it appears to be doing.
