Obama and Geithner have followed the Bush/Paulson financial policies, virtually to the letter, spending trillions bailing out Wall Street and creating a financial sector which has fewer, larger actors with more political power than before.

Obama continues to exert pressure primarily on Progressives rather than on Blue Dogs in order to obtain relatively more conservative rather than liberal bills. (This is not an accident.) The most liberal bill always comes from the House, the conference committee bill is inevitably closer to the more conservative Senate bill. (This is not an accident.)

Unlike Bush Jr, Bush Sr., Clinton, and Reagan, Obama has not replaced the prior administration’...

We Won't Get Fooled Again

We'll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgment of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me

Thanks, Papa. Blind followers and blind detractors make the perfect environment for the truly sad state BushCo left the Constitution to persist. There should not be a voice among them as patriots which doesn't support with great vengeance the restoration of basic principles such as habeas corpus, but instead they decry the simple notion of caring for our fellow man and think they are patriotic in doing so.

You are of course correct, thisname, very right, sadly. Genuinely, though, I don't even know that having more choices would be enough to tip the balance to sanity. I believe deep down that the real root of the vast majority of our woes are related to corporatism and rampant fiscal corrupt...

Until the people themselves get smart and stop taking everything that's told to them at face value, we're never going to get out of this muck.
They need to understand the tricks, like loaded words, bias polls, faulty arguments, etc. that the government and the media uses.

Great clip Bear, thanks.
