There's a character in U.S. history, John Brown, who was a famous preacher against slavery just before the U.S. Civil War. -- bin Laden reminds me of John Brown.

Since the North won that U.S. Civil War and because slavery was abolished as a result John Brown is sort of a cult hero and this a Big Religious, Anti-Slavery, Patriotic Song about him: "John Brown's body lies a molding in his grave....but his truth goes marching on."

John Brown led a minor insurrection, killed a few people as a result (including a black slave), was captured and hung. That's what happens when you try to lead a militant, violent uprising against a government and lose.

The U.S. supporting Zionism has now led to the U.S. supporting genocide in Gaza. The U.S. supported 'peace process," (Bush said there would be a two-state solution by now) - the phony peace process is just talk of ways of keeping the "rats in their cage," and not letting them out.

A hundred years from now I don't think anybody's going to be singing about George Bush, or believing White House & Israeli "spin."

That's because it's "the truth that goes marching on," & bin Laden has more of that.

Well...there was a little relaxation after the Obama victory.

Political leaders are never 'perfect," I'd suspect -- but I got it embedded in my heart somewhere along the line that we should really do our best to elect --- to put in office Better Leaders -- and Obama was a great victory for that.

But it seems I often find myself annoyed at government policies and wars.

It might be the lies and charade propaganda that gets under my skin: false words or third-grade ideas and meanwhile blood spilling in the streets and money going down the drain.

It just never struck me as a good way to behave and waving flags about.

There are many, many people who oppose war, I think, for religious reasons.

I sort of wish there were lots more or we heard from them more but maybe they just don't make the news as much and we just hear from religous leaders who want us to hate people for being gay.

Leopards don't change their spots though.
