The Congo is blessed with wonderful people and resources that ought to enrich them. Greed by corrupt corporations and individuals over those resources has driven political instability since the 1960's. That instability allowed terrorists from Rwanda and Uganda to fuel violence in the border areas.

Like Darfur in the Sudan, if we look aside, the violence picks up again. Please don't look away until the world agrees to stay the course and end the violence.
