balthazarus says: Interesting account from a female point of view on how the biological clock is perceived. Is it the most basic of human experience? i am not sure. I am 38, and I relate to this feeling about the crunch of time.....but yet I know many women in their 40's who have kids, lol....so maybe its cool to wait a bit longer...and if I decide in the end not to have kiddies, or if I can't.....I know from my travels around the world that there are plenty of babies n kiddies that need mothering I appreciate your comment. i do feel that we as men and women can have a full satisfying life which does not entail procreation as a must have. I had my kids in my 20's--- oh, if only I had known then what I know now! I would have waited. I wouldn't have felt that need so acutely. But, that said: I'm 48 now and if I had a 10 year old? I'd probably be on trial for murder... I had much more patience when I was 24. Without disregard to any of the views presented here, I would very much like to see the day when all sorts of clocks are on par with the biological one. For example, how about 'my freedom clock is ticking so strongly, I guess its time to get free' |
