There were plenty of people that questioned it. But Bush loves to fire anyone who disagrees with him. So he essentially surrounded himself with other idiots.

Sadly, Powell should have resigned instead of going along with that. He was silenced many times, but being a general he understood taking orders; he did what was asked of him for his country.

Sad.
