Is this for real?

Very real. I visited the site the same day I clipped this and this is exactly what I encountered. They are adopting a traditionally Republican tactic: belittle the opposition by making internal tactics seem trivial. If they continue to pretend that their opposition is really just full of hot air and that their illegal activities aren't really such a big deal, eventually the masses will succumb to their way of thinking. Terms like "tree-hugger", "Hippy" and even "Terrorist" fall into this category. You can undermine the opposition by claiming they are "paranoid" or "delusional"; convince enough people and you've created a counter-movement. This is often referred to as a Whispering Campaign.
