The suicide rate is set to rise dramatically now that as "for the first time, secular teenage girls objecting to the draft are being jailed. Religious teenagers, who until now had the easiest time avoiding draft through reasons of modesty and piety, are now being followed around by military police and private investigators, who photograph them kissing or wearing "immodest" clothing, and feed the racy pictures to the daily press." Females are not as uncaring killers as males and so are expected to increase the suicides numbers dramatically or serve years in jail.

Secondly, despite the bravado at the time, killing Gaza's children is proving to be having dire consequences on the IDF suicide rate!

“Ever had elephants in your barrel? Then you are a Real Israeli!”

is IDF slang indicating that only males are fit to fire weapons. It's intended to assuage fears that “youth army motivation” is on the serious decline.

“A real Israeli doesn’t dodge the draft.”

If you are Arab in Israel you are automatically exempted from serving in the army. Think of it as a trust issue. Zionists don't want Arab-Israeli citizens hitch-hiking along the country with M16s, civil equality or no civil equality.

This is a reminder of the 2nd rate status of Arab citizens in Israel. It is in fact hinting at the eventual and complete revocation of such citizenship in the first place: if the state is Jewish then Arabs cannot join the army, and cannot shoot guns, therefore they can never be or become “real Israelis”. Simple really, if totally undemocratic!!!
