righthand says: The information reportedly included Medical Corps guidelines for emergency situations, the deployment and status of the Medical Corps, civilian evacuation plans in the event of a missile attack, and more. His intention was to sell this classified information which he came upon during his military service to escape to Europe Doesn't every nation spy on their enemies? But for an Israeli military doctor to commit treason for Iran is pretty mindless, whatever his pretext was. Yes, I would say 99.99% of nations, if not more, do spying. Focusing on this clip my comment would be: It's not good to be a traitor to one's own people -- that is more than just spying. Here the motive is stated as personal gain (not ideology), so it's very selfish and sold out. Note: I believe if you did have 'ideological differences' or are considering treason, do all you can to find an alternative: good or bad, a bottom line is 'rooting for the home team.' If you feel the problem is the country's leadership, then focus discontent in that direction; but in this story this man is just scum; that's what it comes down to. |
