The report outlines in great detail a plan to shrink the existing US nuclear weapons complex from eight sites to three. The report is the result of a two-year collaboration among six citizens’ groups based near many of the nuclear weapons complex sites. The energy released through these weapons can be large enough to cause nuclear weapons and materials nearby to self-detonate. Therefore they HAVE to get rid of the nukes, so they don't blow up themselves, instead of the enemy.
