Gustav has been officially downgraded to a tropical storm, since wind speed is about 60 mph. The emergency measures worked like clockwork and have been commended all-around. This year's hurricane season isn't over, there are a few more storms lined up already. Will anyone ever ask the question why we are spending billions of dollars on trying to keep a place that is BELOW SEA LEVEL in many places from flooding? I think we all know that at some point another storm is going to hit in exactly the right spot and take most of New Orleans again. Two words: Thank God |
