Branchflower’s report is due to be released on October 10th. Let the countdown to truth begin.

"Wilkes has a $1.2 million contract with the state to handle workers compensation claims. Her contract with the state was up but her firm was recently given a new contract despite the fact that there were others who provided the state with a lower bid than Wilkes’s firm. One of the other applicants who submitted a lower bid has appealed the decision. Wilkes told Branchflower she believed it was impressed upon her from Palin’s office that she would lose the contract if she did not deny the claim, state officials knowledgeable about her testimony said."

Maybe that's the smoking gun which will take Sara out of the race as Debbyski has been predicting here for quite some time.

What would happen if she did get taken out/left? Would they just hurry up and pick someone else (which there would be no time to scrutinize) or would they suspend the elections? How would that be handled?

There was a time when I would have believed that a suspension of the elections would never have happened. Now, who knows. I would never put anything past BushCo.

The Kansas City Star editorial board clearly disagrees with you, Aqualung. I would hardly call Kansas City a bastion of liberal thought. I do not hesitate, however, that you Aqualung have very quickly shown yourself to be an knee-jerk and call you out as such. Do you ever think before your plaster such foolishness? I really doubt that you do.
