Herbal medicine is without side effects, provided it is prescribed and used appropriately..Liquorice is not prescribed for hypertension. Using wrong medicine will naturally give adverse effects.This is as simple as that.
Every diseases has a specific plant prescription and it varies with individuals having different constitution..so a generalized way taking of herbal plants,without subjecting them to purificatory processes and blaming herbal medicine for adverse effects is definitely wrong
