Here we go.............where will it stop, nobody knows!

What i do know is that i embrace this short term pain if it means that the world will get deadly serious about the need for alternative sources of energy.

Most of the oil we (USA) use comes from Canada.
Maybe we should bomb them?

Over here in Hammond Indiana, 1/2 of the garbage trucks burn that new vegtable oil mix... the same stuff we use to make chicken and french fries.

The technology is there, but its a supply and demand thing. There are corn oil vehicles, but where do I go fill up at? Very few choices, and if you do find a corn station, it costs more than gas right now, until more people start using it and GM starts building more vehicles.

I say go electric batteries with solor panel recharges.. I use an electric scooter to get around (handicapped) and I get hauling ass pretty fast, all day on 1 charge. beep beep!

would be nice if the price reflected gain for someone besides the oil companies.

If only I were a rich oil bastard . . . then I would be happy too.

i'm thinking that the next "rich bastards" will be those who invest in alternative sources of energy. thinking that right now the united states is moving way too slowly on this as it wastes resources trying to hold on to the past instead of building the future.

our obsession with oil could very well prove to be our down fall when history looks back on this period.

Oil companies are ridiculous....How can they post $10 billion in profits.

It's gotten really bad. I hear people all the time say here in Houston where average gas prices are at $2.90 or so, "Oh, it's $2.89; what a steal! I'm going to go fill-up."

$2.89 is a steal? It's like we've been brainwashed into thinking high prices are common-place. I remember when $1.50 what too high, then $2.00. What'll it get to next year?
