Obama's refusal to debate McCain is worrisome. He's working too hard to control his message.

McCain's camp did not respond to Obama's camp about the town hall meetings, but at least 3 debates have been scheduled. How is that refusing to debate McCain?

Everybody knows that debates happen after the conventions, not before.

McCain campaign's response, “We understand it might be beneath a worldwide celebrity of Barack Obama’s magnitude to appear at town hall meetings alongside John McCain and directly answer questions from the American people, but we hope he’ll reconsider.”

Oh yes, it would be, like when McCain staff have protesters arrested for wearing T-shirts they don't like while Obama faces them and answers their question. Yep, trembling in their socks Obama is.

Again, both camps know how the game is played, they will get their chance after the conventions.

Exactly, and those who think it's not a game with a complex set of unspoken rules and plays are just not paying attention.
