I think scientologists are a bunch of thieving cheats who prey on the weak-minded. But that means they can now have zero input on anything? I thought this whole crowd-sourcing thing was just peace and love and paper airplanes.

the scientology IP addresses were blocked because thehy have been a constant source of biased edits carried out in underhanded ways (multiple editors "tag teaming" to overwhelm their opponents, sock puppet editors, refusal to compromise or even discuss, etc which are all predictable grounds for an editor or address to be blocked. and in fact, many opponents of the scientologists have been behaving similarly and were blocked also. however, since they do not form an organized entity, it doesn't make as juicy a sound bite.
