Yes tanya, I have seen Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? Apparently, she and Joan Crawford weren't the best of friends and according to the director, Robert Aldrich, although they were each aware of how important the film was to their respective careers he commented, "It's proper to say that they really detested each other, but they behaved absolutely perfectly."

Maybe it was their dislike of each other that helped them play the parts so well.
