I don't care if Find A Grave thinks William L. Holmes is famous. It is their loss not to note that he is buried in the cemetery that he and his wife donated to Clackamas County from their Donation Land Claim. This article highlights another way that our children are left behind when it comes to national history.

My posting included a photo of William's headstone, and also a photo of the man. The reply I got was 'canned', but it tells me that our national history is certainly not important to a site like Find A Grave.
