Our government, maybe every government, NEVER considers the rule of unintended consequences. Everytime they "fix" something, a couple years later we find the fix screws us, the average Americans, even harder. Recent examples: The Medicare Prescription Drug Act for our seniors. My dad's only income is social security. He made $15,800 in 2008. His medications and doctors visits cost him OUT OF POCKET over $5000 last year.
