Things like this indeed seem small but not if they become a global principle

I don't buy the global warming hype, but I am all for saving energy and money and not having to change light bulbs as often. These bulbs are great, and they offer them now with a cover so they look pretty much like a normal soft white light bulb instead of funky coils, and they even have them for flood light replacements. They don't get so hot either which is nice.

Can't wait for LED bulbs to hit, they should use even less energy and last longer too.

As a matter of fact when you save energy and reduce your consumption the energy requirement is reduced and less fuel(whatever it might be) is burned => less carbon dioxide into the atmosphere
