Interesting article which explains the concept of the long tail.

For me as for others, its obvious and relates to every daylife, actually even us here at clipmarks are part of this reality.

I read stuff and comment on what others say, but these people are distributed around the globe, and if I look at my immediate surrounding, friends and family, only few if at all are interested in same stuff like me, so although the long tail theory relates directly to distribution and marketing, I think it relates also to more aspects of our life, even if only as analogy.

One more comment, as the theory is for real, content from the glob find itself to us, and distribution channels are created all the time, there is demand and there is supply, but its not the case (not for the short term at least) for video, where the content provider guard it, and will prevent its distribution in alternative channles, as long as they can, but even if they will let go, the distribution lines are not there,
