I moved to Boston in the 80's because I didn't want to be car dependent. And in the seven or so years I lived there, i was quite happy, well traveled and non polluting.
I remember being looked down upon by a woman I was seeing (sort of), when she found out I didn't have a car, I could see from her face that I lost about 50 esteem points, ( she was from L.A.)..
If I did own a car it would be one of these.
