This idiotic position shouldn't even exist! We already had a department of education, then Bush needed to find some extra positions for more of his cronies so they create the "no child left behind" crap and school czars, what the heck was the DoE for then? Obama, so far as I have seen, has trimmed two pages worth of bloated government, discontinued some, and just cut back on others. This was one that I had hoped he would dump! "Supportive of Nambla" appears to be a big stretch of the truth from the info. that I have seen though, but if it calls peoples attention to what the H this position is even needed for, and they realize it is a waste, then perhaps at least some good will come from it.

Are there any people with *traditional* values left in government? When rapists of children are applauded by Hollywood, teacher/student sex has become rampant, kindergärtners are taught that homosexuality is *normal*, etc... why do we wonder over the moral decay of our society??

Now we have such people in Washington making policy for our schools. And they wonder why more people are homeschooling their children and the public education system is loosing money!!! I saw an article today called "Why Does Public Education Suck?". I wouldn't use those words but *directors* such as these speak volumes.

jatfla, homosexuality IS normal for homosexuals PERIOD. I resent this "personal" vendetta you are always on against gays and I seriously question why it is so important to you when there are things that are so very dangerous for our children...LIKE NAMBLA!!!!! If you really care about our children you would get your priorities in place. Do you have any idea what NAMBLA is all about. I'm insulted that you even use the word homosexual in the same clip thats addressing such a disgusting organization like NAMBLA.

What really ticks me off about this is that our society allows an organization such as NAMBLA to even exist. Do you realize how many times I hear bad things about NAMBLA compared to...
