...or this one? Oh, no, I'd rather not see it that yellow-red thing... It's a Galatasaray fan's blog. I am a Fenerbahce supporter and the competition between those two Istanbul teams is unbelievable. It's not a simple "Who is the greatest team of Turkey" controversy - especially in recent years, it became a kind of hostility: hooligan groups of both teams attacking each other with stones, sticks and even knives. Insults, swears, etc. I don't know if there is a similar competition between baseball or NBA teams in America, but Fenerbahce - Galatasaray polarization in Turkey is just like the Boca Juniors - River Plate competition of the Argentine league. Or Real Madrid - B[b]... hooligan groups of both teams attacking each other with stones, sticks and even knives. Insults, swears, etc. I don't know if there is a similar competition between baseball or NBA teams in America,No, unfortunately. Really boring by comparison. Your European sports traditions are so much more rich and exciting. Oh, sure, on the odd occasion we may have rampant looting and burning cities, but it's very inconsistent and absent conviction and tradition. So, we are left to gaze across the pond in envy and only vicarious face pulping. So, we are left to gaze across the pond in envy and only vicarious face pulping.Hmm... Maybe we can do something to ease your envy: how about sending our angry, fanatic, ill-mouthed hooligans to America, to add some excitement and spice to your soccer league? Yes, we'd definitely miss them while watching games at the peaceful stadiums. But that's what friends are for. (OK, no smileys, but a little blue winking one could be fine here.) The beauty is in knowing that you're winking without being told. Am I sensing some brotherly love here? This could be a good thing. I'm adding a smiley for that! It's been a love hate thing with us from jump street. Thing is, Invictus is, in a way, very familiar to me because he is much like most of my friends in real life. Very hip. Very intelligent. Very likable. Very left and wack politically. That was very nice of you to just think a smiley, [b]BC ohhhh... I can't get much by you, eh!? Glad you saw my thought. |
