thisnamecantbetaken says: Against such a backdrop, the struggles of the intelligent design movement are best understood as clamorous and disappointing double failures – rejected by science because they do not fit the facts, and having failed religion because they think too little of God.This is not news. Irreducible complexity as an argument for íntelligent design has been debunked for quite some time, but some fanatical anti-evolutionists are apparently still desperate for this to be "proof" of the existance of God. It isn't. The article will explain why. The diagrams prove nothing. The argument here falls in this manner, that is, it is not merely a) complexity but also b) order and c) beauty. For example the human being, male and female, being so superior to the other creatures (refuting a logical path of so-called evolutionary ascendency)--consider the cognitive and creative capacity of the mind, the expression of intelligent language (like no other creatures), the beauty in form and body, variety yet similarity, etc...! What! thisname.etc or anyone else evolved from an ignorant and rather ugly ape? It would be illogical to think so, and contrary to evidence! The desparate zeal to abolish and remove God and deride written revelation (d... There is nothing in this clip that refutes any Christian truthI know. So? That's not the purpose of the clip. You seem to entertain the assumption, that I don't believe in God? I see God's face everyday in the world around me. In nature, in science, in consciousness and conscience... Can I prove God though? No and I never try to. (I'll leave it up to others to "desperately" try to do that if they feel they must. That's not a priority of mine BUT having some lesser educated people or "desperate" people promoting irreducible complexity AS IF it were evidence is NOT doing Christians any favours. This clip is not an attempt to "disprove" God's existence. I am searching for God, ... rrefutable complexityTypo. Should read irreducible complexity, of course. |
