Sure. Please declare yourselves openly so that people serving along side of you can decide how to deal with this. There are more important things to think about other than whether the person next to you is queer or not when you are in combat. I have my opinions and I don't envy those who choose to "tell". But .... get rid of the law. It's deceitful and hypocritical.
