Since when is a cold sore a STD? I've had cold sore instead of colds since I was a very little girl and I've never had a STD.

Tho I don't suffer from them, Cold Sores I thought were an indication of Herpies Siplex A

It is one of the Herpies strain but not an STD. Growing up I rarely had a cold but if I was run down in cold season I would get a cold sore and it was almost always in the same spot.A very uncomfortable and unsightly thing to have. now whenever I feel that tingling feeling in that spot I apply toothpaste to it. Surprisingly that shortens the lifespan and the severity of it.
