As a checklist of his agenda items during the campaign appeared on the screen -- global warming, immigration reform, gays in the military, limits on executive powers, torture prosecutions, closing Gitmo, withdrawing from Iraq, improving the status of the fight in Afghanistan, healthcare reform, etc. -- Armisen accurately commented on how they weren't accomplished:

The criticism leveled at Obama on SNL was that he is failing to execute the brilliantly conceived left-wing aspects of his agenda as stated in his campaign. Of course, there is no casting judgment on those ideas and no mention that most of America doesn’t actually support them.

The actor portraying Obama had none of Obama's arrogance or disdain in his voice either. But I'm sure that was intended.

It’s a start for SNL; maybe they can dig their way out of the crapper and back to actually being funny instead of partisan hacks.
