If this is true, how DARE they do it on a Good Friday! Have they no shame? Why do they have to defile everything they come close to? Jesus would be rolling over in his grave...if he had one that is.

There's no way this will ever happen. No one is so lacking in common sense to realize that 1) Going to Iran is not what most Americans will support right now and 2) If we did happen to go into Iran, attacking on Good Friday will make our hearts and minds war much harder to win. Read my lips: We will not attack Iran on Good Friday.

I so wish you were right, but I'm afraid I don't have your confidence. I don' t think it really matters to Bush if he has public support or not, he has always done what he chooses regardless. He WOULD do it on Good Friday too, because people will be busy with Easter and family, so he would hope it would largely 'go over their heads'. Easter would be a perfect distraction, so to speak. I wouldn't put it passed Bush for 5 seconds! Not 5 seconds.

They also spread dis-information about when and where we would attack in the first Gulf War. Those good comrades the ruskies bought it hook line and sinker and blabed to Saddam that the U.S. would attack via the beachfront. It is good to throw things up in the air and see who bites. True words, Napster. And 'thisnamecantbetaken', I wouldn't be so sure that Bush would do this. Even if he WAS naive enough to think that Easter would distract people, which he wouldn't because there are vigilant watchdogs like you in America, he is not a king who solely decides our state of war. No doubt if he ever did anything that dumb, he would be under pressure from his cabinet, federal agencies, and most of all, congress. I doubt he could find many people to support him in the government besides a few close contacts.

It's about time. They declared war on us when they over-ran our embassy and held hostages in the mid 70's. Since then, they have continued to kill Americans around the world. They continue to hold the position that Israel does not have the right to exist. Sorry, but better to address this situation on Friday than to wait until they have their nuclear weapon finished.
