I hope they (the parents) are charged.

All kinds of people make bad choices and decisions for non-religious reasons as well, who are never charged for manslaughter. Some do not heed their doctor's advice, or some take their doctors advice without getting a second opinion that is more accurate.

Consequences have a way of changing people's erroneous beliefs. There is a double standard here. This is selective prosecution pushed by some activist agents.
