egoldstein says: Yet another reason they acquired YouTube. Yet another reason they will continue to dominate the search market. Big move. I can't see Google being toppled for at least a decade or beyond. What I find frustrating is, I can't login to Youtube with my Google account, it requires to register an account at Youtube too. So I usually exclude Youtube when I search something at Google video. Other than that, I agree. Google walks confidently on the path to dominate the market as a "monopoly" at the moment. Yahoo and MS are far behind. Seems like a cheap trick to promote their services if anything to me. About half the stuff (like Blogger, Reader, Labs etc) doesn''t seem relevant to their mission of "universal search". Hence, a cheap trick. Google.com is one of the most visited webpages in the world and Google's trying to use it as a promoting tool for it's less popular services. |
