Seems an amicable and sensible compromise was reached. Further, the Methodist comment echoes Professor Dawkins' point that the advert gets people to think and talk about important things. So stop worrying and enjoy your life.

I object to the message and don't blame him for not wanting to drive it. Listen, not all Christian's are "worried" and "not enjoying" their lives. I could care less about my afterlife prospects. My belief is if I live unto God, I'll die unto God and it's as simple as that. To me, living unto God means a thirst for compassion and social justice.

An atheist working at a bookstore refuses to ring-up sales of The Bible, The Quar'An, the Torah and related books because she believes that the contents are used as weapons of oppression and that to participate in their distribution is to aid her oppressors.

A Muslim supermarket cashier refuses to ring-up pork products because her religion forbids contact with swine.

A peace-loving Buddhist working at a major retailer refuses to ring-up gun sales (including ammunition and accessories), because to do so is bad Karma.

Oops - here's the full version of the final scenario:

A police officer, who is a Christian Reconstructionist, refuses to arrest parents who have stoned their child to death for cursing them, because she follows the teachings of Gary North who preaches that such capital punishment as prescribed in Old Testament law is permissible. The Officer claims to be following her God and her conscious.
