I wonder how the residents of, say Texas or even Florida or Kansas would handle, oh let's see, how about, China and Japan making the decision and giving notice to said residents that their state or states would be returned to the former (and rightful) natives (Mexico, Lakota, Seminole nations, whatever) and that the the govrernments of Japan and China would make sure that the current residents would be "suitably" resettled and that this is binding because they made an agreement with rhe POTUS and a governor or two, and that by this, justice would be done in the... At that time I believe there were Jews still living there...also Arabs and they lived fairly peacefully. It was sparsely populated and underdeveloped. Only when the Jews began returning in large numbers after the Holocaust, irrigating and planting the land, buying up property that the Arabs willing sold to them, AND the Islamic fervor spread into the territory plus the Jews unwillingness to be herded again, did we have the beginnings of what we see now. |
