A few theists again have succeeded in pegging the irony meter. They're claiming the innocuous ad campaign by a group of British atheists is offensive! They then claim that they have evidence for the existence of God. Could someone please clue these folks in on what the definition of evidence is.

And 57 complaints doesn't seem like a groundswell of opposition. Maybe it was a slow news day?

I'm trying to come up with something coherent to say about this and am failing – so far I've typed and deleted at least four false starts.

So let me put it briefly: NO FRICKING SYMPATHY.

I grew up not-Christian in the US. (I phrase it that way because the question never seemed to be "what are you/what do you believe", it was "what, you're not Christian???") I have had Christian teachings and beliefs shoved down my throat for as long as I can remember.

Like I said, NO SYMPATHY.

They think this is offensive to their beliefs? I suggest they move somewhere like India, where they would be dramatically in the minority, and see how it feels then. "People are speaking up to say that they don't b...
