ratilfar says: Take a guess at the nature of the songs. From the article: "And though Walla's laughing when he mentions Guantánamo, he's not joking when he adds that his record — which he's calling Field Manual — is "very political," packed with songs about issues both foreign ("The Score" tackles the war in Iraq) and domestic ("Everyone Needs a Home" deals with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina; "Sing Again" is about so-called "morning after" pills and whether they're a form of contraception or abortion). Easy listening, this is not." Yeah, he looks like a terrorist, NOT! Why on earth would they confiscate his hard drive! I guess the same people who tried to deport Lennon, and shut him up are back in business! Wonder if a loner carrying a copy of catcher in the rye will start stalking Walla. www.vdare.com/guzzardi/lennon.htm check it out. Just as many of us knew all along, the Bush administration is using "homeland security" as a facade to silence any mass criticism of their actions. In the 60's the music united a generation; they won't let that happen again. I find it weird and disturbing (although there is the off chance its a hoax) and he has backups so maybe the project will see the light of day and we hear what all the fuss is about. ...or he will use the incident to sue the government for detention and confiscation under false pretenses, and watch the record album go platinum in 'record' time. Smart guy if he can turn into a win-win. Yes, this is a great story. Incite the government to confiscate your hard drive....just before your procrastination moves you into anonymous musical oblivion. BTW, in this day and age, who doesn't know the ancestor rule, aka the Grandfather rule, of backing up all files. Well he has the masters so yeah I would say he lives by that rule. It does not take much to incite this government. Yeah right. This doof probably manufactured the whole story. Do you have proof? I would love to see it. I hate hoaxes. |
