There's a way you can make a swf file your desktop wallpaper. Now that just opens up a ton of possibilities. Since Clipmarks (and many other web 2.0 apps) provides RSS feeds, you can stream the desired content to your desktop as well. ScreenTime Media has what's called SWF Desktop. Compatible with PC and Mac. There's a trial version available. I gave it a go. For testing purposes I used your wallpaper and made an image map, got a few of the links going, and ran it. It was a bit pixelated since it stretches to fit any screen, but I was looking to test functionality. Important thing is that it works.
